walk the walk.

It's okay to be different.

But it takes some fucking courage to walk out there in what other people see as a halloween costume. To walk down the streets with people staring, pointing, laughing and yelling at you.

To constantly get compared to other people and being put down, being told that you're not good enough, not pretty enough, not skinny enough, not normal enough.

Everyday when I wake up, I am so insecure and vulnerable and I just wanna put on a white T-shirt and a pair of jeans because I know what awaits me if I dress like I want to. And I don't like it. Yes, it bothers me when people stare and when they tell me that I'm ugly and when they laugh at me and point fingers at me, but I still do it.

There's nothing I can do about it so the easiest solution would be to change myself.

Yet I can't. Because this is who I actually am. This is how I feel, this is what I look like. This is who I was born to be, this is my destiny. I'm not gonna try to hide it.

I'm not full of shit. Are you?

to shop feelings away.

So basically, I had a shitty day. It was so bad, you have no idea. Everybody treated me like shit, talked about me behind my back, but like.. right in front of me, I got called ugly, the lipstick that I've been dying over the last month was sold out because some people had to lay in line at 10 am on a Monday and I just hate my life.

I got a package from my dad, though, so that kinda made it better. Also, we're working on a play in my drama class and my character got to be lesbian, which I'm really excited about!

But anyways, I went to town and I got the nail polish:

Little Girl Type - Quite Cute Collection by MAC

Also, I got The Power of Madonna by Glee because I love Glee and I love Madonna - and it was cheap. Yay!

Also, check out a couple of my Quite Cute inspired photos:

And just a single one from my Oh My Ra photoshoot:

And that's it, guys. I love you, I really do. ♥

Judas + Born This Way

So I haven't written a new post in quite a while, but there has been nothing of importance going on. But now, I present to you:

Judas, the new Lady Gaga song!

So this song has gotten a lot of shit for having a boring beat and blasphemous lyrics. And what do I think about it? I really, really like it! :) I wouldn't say I love it, because it's definitely not my favorite Gaga song, but I like how she's bringing the gothic feel from Bad Romance back in the game. So thumbs up, Gaga!

Now, I see why people all over the World are getting offended by the lyrics, but come on, people; she obviously doesn't mean that she's literally in love with the biblical Judas, and also, she's religious herself. Now, I don't mind people writing lyrics like this as long as they're religious themselves or at least very, very respectful! I don't know why, it's just a matter of respect to me, I guess. For example, I saw a girl (who is in no way religious) on Facebook posting the song, saying "Gaga is in love with Judas, I fucked Jesus!", and I'm like, "bitch... no.". It's so disgraceful to me.

But I honestly think that Gaga kept the respect and kept it clean. I like the point of the song, and it's a very catchy beat.

And for those people who talk shit about it for not being "as good as Gaga normally is": why do you expect her to come out with Bad Romance prt. 2? It's a catchy song, and that's what Gaga's music is; catchy pop beats with a lot of influences from other genres. And that's exactly what this is.

If you hate it, wear an ear condom next time!

^ The cover for Born This Way, the record. I get the whole idea with her being born fierce, but I'm not that into it. I hope she's messing with us!

I think it should've looked like this:

Ranting done, points proven.

2nd Hand Shopping

It's friday! :D (and we all thank ms. Black for making it the most annoying day of the week.)

Anyways, I went into town today with a friend of mine who's actually the person that I come to if I have problems (because of my exchange year), but we've grown on each other and it's always fun hanging out with her.

So we took out to Kali (Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, Leipzig), which is a rather 'funny' place to hang out; it's kind of subcultural and it's basically the place where all the secondhand stores and little cafés are.

I am as always on a budget, so I didn't get anything except a leopard scarf and a lilac shirt (with freaking shoulderpads, guys!!! :D)

So, there's the shirt. What do you guys think?! It's not what I'd normally wear but I fell in love with it, so I had to have it! ^^
Hmm, yeah. I don't know what else to say. Not much has happened since my last blog post, but I just felt like writing a little something.

Lots of love - remember, always be true to who you are ♥

Viva Glam Gaga / II

So, today I went into town with a friend. It was awesome weater, around 25 degrees. So, we went into MAC, where they finally had the Viva Glam Gaga 2!

So basically, the deal is that Lady Gaga 'designed' this lipstick and every damn cent goes to the MAC Aids Fund. The Viva Glam campaign has existed since 1994, and in 2010, Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga signed a deal with MAC and designed two lipsticks, the Viva Glam Cyndi, a coral-toned red, and the Viva Glam Gaga, a blue-toned pink. On a sidenote, I'm pretty sure that the Viva Glam Gaga was one of MAC's best selling products ever, but I could be wrong about that. Anyways, MAC now released the Viva Glam Gaga 2, and it's a nude beige/caramel-ish brown. I'm loving it! Plus, (for the make-up nerds) it's amplified, which I'm really happy about. I don't like lustres, but I love amplified creme's. So thumbs up to Gaga, I'm really excited about it! Gonna get the lipglass as soon as I have money again. Which will be around monday. I'm super happy! ♥

Disclaimer: I did not pay for this lipstick myself.. thank you, dad!! :D

C'mon, Vogue

"They used to call me rabbit teeth in school, and now I'm a real live VOGUE BEAUTY QUEEN!"

Yes, I got it!! I freaking got it! ♥

Glitter&Glam

So, as most people know, I am a huge Adam Lambert fan, and even though I never ever got to a Glam Nation concert, I really loved the whole atmosphere about it - the so-called "glamily", the love-theme, the glitter, the rainbows and the happiness. Mainstream artists just put on amazing rock shows, for some odd reason. But now, I can bring the whole Glam Nation Live experience into my room; Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you...
Glam Nation Live ♥

CD + DVD.

I have been having a rough time lately, so this was definitely what I needed! When I got my mom's package and saw the cd/dvd, I was already thrilled, and she also sent me makeup, magazines and an awesome letter, so even though we haven't been skyping today, I feel so... happy.

I watched the dvd immediately and that was almost too much glitter to handle!

See, I am the glitter girl, and all my makeup has glitter in it, even the matte shit, but it has been so toned down lately because of my horrible mood.

Revival of Emily Glitter.

Best known as Alice Snow.

Disappears from time to time.

But she's the rockstar in me,

and it's just time to shine again.

People ask me how I can love Adam Lambert so much.

I love him because not only does he save me,

his music fucking completes me.

All we need in this world is some love.

Quite Cute by MAC

So, MAC launches a new collection on April 7th called "Quite Cute".

Now lately, I've been into edgier stuff on the rock 'n' roll side when it comes to style & makeup, but when I saw this collection, I died! The colors are gorgeous, and if I had the money, I'd probably buy it all!

The collection contains 5 lipsticks (including Saint Germain, which I believe is actually permanent), 4 plush glasses, I believe they're lip plumpers, an eyeshadow quad, 3 lip pencils, 3 mineralize blushes, 3 nail lacquers, a pair of false lashes, an eyeliner and a mascara.

To start off with the lipsticks: I absolutely /love/ and adore every single one of them. Taking them from left to right, Playing Koi is kind of a weird color to me, but I am very tolerant when it comes to nude-ish colors. Quite Cute is a lavender, need I say more? I love lilac and lavender colors, so this is gorgeous to me! It kind of reminds me of D'Lilac by Lime Crime. Anyone? xD No, but the only bad thing is that it's a creme sheen, and that's way too light and creamy for me. I'm more into mattes and amplifieds. Which brings me to the next to lipsticks: Saint Germain and Candy Yum Yum. Saint Germain is amplified. It's also permanent in-store, which is a good thing. It reminds me of Great Pink Planet by Lime Crime or Viva Glam Gaga I (also by MAC). And Candy Yum Yum? I MUST HAVE IT. It's so bright and pink and fun! And matte! Also, it reminds me of Lime Crime's Countessa Fluorescent. And then there's Playtime, which is an intense purple. Also cremesheen. I already own two violets, Violetta (Venomous Villains) and Style Curve (some collection I don't remember), and cremesheen is, as I said, a no-go for me.

The plush glasses seem very sheer to me, also, I hate lip gloss/glass. xD Not going into it, sorry. But as far as I know, they plump your lips, so if you're looking for a lip plumper, check it out!

The eyeshadow quad is really cute, too. It's called Cutie and it contains Moshi! Moshi!, Goody Good Gum Drop, Boycrazy and Azuki Bean. They're all limited this time. I like Boycrazy, the lavender color, but since I just got Beautiful Iris, I don't really need it. But even though the colors might seem strange, go for it! It adds an adorable twist to an everyday look!

I have absolutely no information about the lip pencils, I'm sorry.

The blushes are /adorable/. Now, I don't wear a lot of blush, so I can't really judge, but look at the little hearts!! They seem like very nice blush colors and even though I wouldn't really wear them, I'm definitely gonna change them out, cause I absolutely wouldn't mind adding one of them to my collection!

When I first saw the nail lacquers, I was like 'meh'. But! Now that I've looked closer, I absolutely love them! The lavender one is called Little Girl Type and as I said, lavender colors are gorgeous to me, so of course I love this!! The Ice Cream Cake is a very pretty pink with blue undertones to it, which is always a plus. And the Mischievous is so weird and strange that I absolutely love it! It's such an underrated color, when in fact it looks amazing.

I'm not going to talk about the lashes, mascara and liner, but if you want to know more about them or just about the collection in general, definitely go to http://www.temptalia.com/ and check it out. That's my all time favorite make up blog!

So I hope you enjoyed, stay tuned!

xx Alice ♥

(there will be reviews on the products I buy ^^)
